Blacksmithing Project Class, Icicle Ornaments

This is a 4–5-hour class.

Forge your own iron icicles for the winter season. Always a great handmade gift for the holidays.

Description of class -

• You will complete 2 projects in this class, an S-hook and a series of iron icicles.

• In this class you will be learning the fundamental skills of blacksmithing, including how to work safely and efficiently, with an emphasis on hammer control and body mechanics.

• You’ll learn appropriate use of the various parts of the anvil, drawing, tapering and scrolling.

• You’ll create and keep one complete S-hook and three “icicles” with various patterns.

Start time is 10am (no matter the date). Class time frame 4- 5 hours in a single day.
There is no lunch break for this class. Bring your own snacks if you would like.

Please note: For safety reasons we cannot accept students under 13 years of age. If a student is under 18 years of age a guardian must be present for the entirety of the class. Although not required, we encourage the guardian to take the class with the student.
