Give a gift that isn’t just unwrapped — it becomes forged! The Iron Ticket includes an actual railroad spike and a reserved place in an upcoming knife-making class, where they’ll hammer that steel into a blade they’ll keep forever.

You’ll receive:

1. A gift certificate reservation to an upcoming knife-making class at Damselfly Forge*

2. The actual high carbon railroad spike that your lucky recipient will forge into their very own knife

3. And everything placed in our custom Iron Ticket gift box, perfect for wrapping and giving.

*The gift certificate will include a special password and full instructions that your soon-to-be-bladesmith will use to schedule their class.
Available dates throughout the year to redeem certificates are visible with your special password. All class dates are on weekends.

For Delivery by Christmas your order must be placed by December 18th, 2025.

No prior Blacksmithing experience necessary. Open to all skill levels.
Group class, up to 6 people - Cost $250 per person, all materials included. No hidden fees.
One day class 4-to-6-hours.

Forge your first knife in this special one-day class. These railroad spike knives are made with higher carbon steel, and are great for small camp work, everyday carry and home display.

Information on the class itself -

Please note: For safety reasons we cannot accept students under 13 years of age. If a student is under 18 years of age a guardian must be present for the entirety of the class. Although not required, we encourage the guardian to take the class with the student.

Start time is 10am. Class time frame 4-to-6-hours in a single day. There will be a break for lunch. (Bring your own lunch. See our FAQ page.)
