‍Forge your first knife in this special one-day class. These railroad spike knives are made with higher carbon steel, and are great for small camp work, everyday carry and home display.

Description of class -

• In this class you will be learning the fundamental skills of knifemaking and blacksmithing.

• You’ll learn appropriate use of the various parts of the anvil, drawing, tapering and scrolling.

• You’ll create and keep two complete S-hooks and a railroad spike knife.

• Sheath making is not included in this class.

Please note: For safety reasons we cannot accept students under 13 years of age. If a student is under 18 years of age a guardian must be present for the entirety of the class. Although not required, we encourage the guardian to take the class with the student.

‍Start time is 10am (no matter the date). Class time frame 4-to-6-hours in a single day. There will be a break for lunch. (Bring your own lunch. See our FAQ page.)
